Current Project
Enugu State 150 MW Coal-Fired Thermal Power Plant and Integrated Briquette and Carbon
Black Manufacture Project

Project Description:
This innovative 150 MW power project aims to harness Enugu’s rich coal reserves to deliver reliable, sustainable electricity using advanced pulverized coal combustion (PCC) technology. Equipped with cutting-edge emission control systems, it meets international environmental standards while ensuring high efficiency and low emissions.
Strategically located near the Akwuke coal reserve, for which Niels & Stanley has exclusive mining rights, in the Enugu Coal District, the site benefits from access to key infrastructure, reducing transportation and operational costs.
Beyond power generation, the project includes eco-friendly industrial units: a briquette plant to produce cleaner fuel alternatives to firewood and charcoal, helping combat deforestation, and a carbon black facility to support industries like tire manufacturing and plastics.
Together, these components drive both energy security and regional economic development.
